In 2008, LEGO® Modellbaufans Rheinland e. V., 1000steine.de and LEGO® Deutschland, in cooperation with Koelnmesse GmbH, presented a giant LEGO® fan event: LEGO® Fanwelt 2008.
On approx. 5.000 square meters, LEGO® Fans from all over Germany exhibited their unique models built from LEGO® bricks. Train layouts, moonbases, Cologne Cathedral, the Washington Capitol, Venice, and much more. Other highlights were NXT workshops and a LEGO® marketplace for LEGO® fans of all ages.
The LEGO® Brick 50th Anniversary Tour stopped over in Cologne with a lot of play and building events.
After the event's enormous success, we decided to go on!
Finally, we are in preparations now for LEGO® Fanwelt 2010. Bigger and better than ever, there will be even more to see, more to play and more to build! On 12.000 square meters in hall 5.1, we'll show the most beautiful and spectacular LEGO® models, the german and european fan scene has to offer.
